Guest Blogger : ~ Focusing on Christ in our crazy, busy lives ~

So, I wanted to do something a little bit different today. I recently connected with another talented blogger name Mae and thought she would be perfect to do a guest blog today! She is a wonderful writer who loves Jesus as her Savior and it brings so much joy to my life to see her so in love with Christ. I would highly suggest checking out her Instagram account @rejoicinginhim as well to see more about her and her love for the Lord! Here we go, I will go ahead and allow her to introduce herself to you all and I pray you are encouraged by her blog this morning. Thanks so much everyone! God bless!

Hey guys! My name is Mae and I am absolutely in love with Jesus. Here’s a little background on my life. I grew up in a Christian home and have always been taught to love God. Luckily I never had my faith just because of my parents! At a young age I accepted him on my own. Sure there may have been some ups and downs in my faith but I’m focusing on the now, not the then. In August I wanted a stronger faith and to share my journey on the narrow road with others so I made an Instagram account called @rejoicinginhim. I feel so blessed that God is working through me!! Basically I’m one of those people who are always cheerful no matter what because of Jesus! Sure, I have my moments but Jesus is my rock in those situations. I also love to run and paint!! It is definitely something that Jesus has blessed me with!
Now that I introduced myself let’s dig into some scripture!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 says “For everything there is a season, and a time for every matter under heaven.”
I don’t know about you but I have been so busy lately! It seems like everything is piling up and I have no time to do things I want.
Life can get busy, nothing can change that.
But how in the world do we leave time for God in this crazy life when he seems like the least of our worries?
How do we even remember he’s there when we are so preoccupied?
Here are some tips:
  • Have your phone screen or computer screen be a bible verse. This can simply remind you that God is with you, even if you aren’t thinking about him. He is protecting you and loving you every single moment of every day!
  • Listen to some Christian music while you are doing schoolwork or are doing things for work. This can help you so so much! I started listening to Christian music a lot lately while doing everyday tasks. Something about it gives me peace even when I am super stressed out!
  • Find some Christian friends. Trust me I know it’s hard but I also know that there are at least a couple welcoming Christians at your church, work, or school. Christian friends make a huge difference in your life!! You can easily grow in your faith together and bring each other up when life gets crazy!
  • Make some time for Jesus. It doesn’t matter when or where. Jesus will listen.
Above all know that Jesus is working in your life and he can give you a perfect peace in this time of chaos! You were put in this season for a reason!! Not just because God didn’t know what to do with you. He is doing something AMAZING in your life!! You may be busy but that doesn’t mean God isn’t working through you from this busyness.
Embrace the busy times.
Embrace the pain.
Embrace the love.
Embrace the joy.
Embrace the little things.
No matter how overwhelmed you feel right now Jesus is holding you.
He is a father telling his child to stop crying. To take some time to feel a peace only he can give.
Rest in him every free moment you get.
You will keep in perfect peace
those whose minds are steadfast,
because they trust in you. Isaiah 26:3
Much love,
Mae
